Welcome back!
Yes, here we go again. In September there is to be another inspection.
It is not bad enough that we have had to deal with Mom’s illness and death, our illnesses, pain and other assorted items, but w get to look forward to other people coming in who are not invited. Whoopie…not.
I wish [...]

Just thinking about that time at Grandpa and Grandma’s makes me wish that I could have had a camera, or video camera handy to take her picture and see the expression on her face when he got done with the fireplace.
We have cameras now, but not enough camera cases for the ones that we do [...]

I remember a time when Grandpa ( Foster K. Baker) decided to make a fireplace in his country home in Arkansas.
He picked out a good one from a choice of fireplace mantels. He then built a beautiful fireplace made with natural stone that covered the end of the huge living room that he had [...]

With all that has happened lately, I am still wanting to rest to make up for all the rush time before.
The pain of Mom being gone is barely there. I am so glad that she is no longer in constant pain, it is a relief to know that she is in a better place.
We [...]

Today Dorothy Peterson went home to Heaven.
She was born Aug 12,1931.
She loved the Lord, her family, and those she adopted as her ‘kids’.
Her family celebrates her arrival in Heaven and the family reunion she is having with loved ones who have gone on before. She no longer hurts.

It took a lot of work, sorting, boxing, packing. I had not quite realized just how much stuff she had. Her son from Arkansas did a lot of the sorting, boxing, piling, and stuff.
Just in books alone, there were 10 [...]

Just think, the Fourth of July is now past. Soon, people will wonder what type of college grad gift to get their adult child. Then will come the time that kids start school again.
Of course I imagine that some parents will be happy to have school start again. Then shortly there are [...]

Have you seen the recent advertisement that contains the phrase ‘invisible cord’? It is disturbing that the father is presented as being a moron. The daughter is presented as being a smart alec disrespectful brat.
The mother does not act as a parent. The whole idea is not good.
I realize that this is [...]

Remember that earlier I had mentioned that this summer was going to be very hot?
The weather man mentioned that we had already seen the temperature of 104! The only thing that I could think of was to stay inside, get something cold to drink and pray for rain.

Mom is over at the nursing home getting rehab right now, I would dearly love to give something to her to help cheer her up.
When she was down in the hospice, we gave her a giant rose that smelled live a rose. It is approximately 3′ long. I have never seen another one [...]
