Toe Pain

I don’t remember if I mentioned that my husband tried to remove his big toe nail by hitting it on something. Well, he has evidently succeeded. The nail came off this morning, and his toe (of course) hurts.
It is not like we are going to give out any wedding invitations, or notices of congratulations on this, but since he is a diabetic, we have to look out for any possible complications. So far the only complication is that he will have trouble wearing any type of covered shoe until the toe makes another nail.
Since I had my toe nail removed earlier in the year, I found that it will take about 8 months for the nail to completely regrow. Heaven help me if anyone steps on my toe right now. I guess that my husband is now joining the OH NO group of people watching any feet very carefully.
