Grumpy at the store

Welcome back!

Yes, grumpy is the word that I was looking for.

I had gone to the store to look for a certain type of liquid flavoring. You know, like what is used for cooking. Guess what I found? Pans to be used for cooking instead of the flavoring that i needed. Tell me is I am wrong here, but aren’t Thanksgiving and Christamas coming up soon? Don’t people do a lot of cooking then? I mean, moving the flavorings that are used for holiday cooking, right before the holidays, does not seem very brilliant to me.

I asked the store employees for help and waited for 15 minutes for someone to show up. Finally the lady that I talked to on the phone came because she was concerned that someone really try to help. SHE got one of the managers to come and ‘help’. the Guy was so proud when he finally managed to find a small chelf with only a few flavorings on it. Why was the quantity of the flavorings cut down? Why were all of the inexpensive flavorings taken away (this in a store that is supposed to have prices good for low income people) and the EXPENSIVE flavorings left in a hard to find place?

I do not call that good business. Yes, it made me grumpy. If I’d had to wait for 5 more minutes, I was thinking about empyting my cart and leaving everything in the middle of the aisle in a nice pile as a statement of discontent. The nice person who talked to me on the phone seemed to be the only one who was concerned about the satisfaction of a customer. I am not saying the name of the store right now, usually they aren’t so BLAH. I am thankful for that one lady who went out of her way to try to help, though.

Quite the thing to rant on about.

I kind of figured that a rant on a blog was better than some ’shopping rage’ in the store itself.
