Jury Duty
Welcome back!
Yup, it has happened again. Got a summons for jury duty. This will be the fourth time for this for me anyway.
I have been called before. Once when I lived in St. Louis, Mo. Second time when I lived in Florida. The third time when I lived in Texas. Now, again in Texas. The first two times we all sat on the jury for several days. The first time we came to a decision, the second time it was settled out of court and they wouldn’t tell us what the decision was. That was frustrating. The third time, I was the 7 person and they only needed to have 5 since it was traffic court. This time, I have no idea what will occur. It is an interesting thing to happen.
I know that some do not want to serve on a jury, but to me it is very interesting. I am looking forward to see what happens this time. Sometimes it is hard to think that serving on a jury is all part of being a citizen of this country. It is a much better judicial system than what is found in a few countries. Still, for me it is interesting.
