Turkey Oops

I figure that today is a good day to write about a disaster that happened to me a few years ago.
I call it turkey oops, my family accused me of trying to poison them, too. Well, here is what happened. I tried to make a turkey soup. Obviously it didn’t work.
I took some perfectly good turkey, potatoes, celery, onions, carrots, and last but not least - broccoli. That was my worst move. As it was cooking, it smelled WONDERFUL. When I served it my family took a bite, and I heard silence, total silence. Then they all announced that i was trying to poison them. I didn’t understand what they meant. I tasted it - it was awful.
Evidently when turkey and broccoli are put together, their chemical do NOT mix well. I put it out for the dog next door to eat, and he came sniffed, took and bite, turned his back and went to roll in a nearby septic tank leak. The utmost insult.
The good news, it is safe to make a turkey soup, just do not use broccolit with it. Another site called Popcorn Cook.com has a tasty recipe for turkey. I have found several other recipes that I like there, too.
