Season of Giving
Welcome back!
here it is, later half of November. You will be seeing the bell ringers in front of the stores, The TV will be filled with messages asking for help for different groups. Yes, these things are needed.
I know from personal experience that the Salvation Army does a good work for everybody. They helped my family and myself through some extremely tough times, they will always be in my prayers. There are other charity groups that help. Some gather food to help feed other people, some gather clothes, school supplies….the list can go on with many different types of things.
The one thing that really gets to me is that the need is out there even when it is not the ‘Holiday’ season. All through the year there are needs that need to be met for others. If you find yourself with a little extra, please do not be shy, for every penny, pea, or sock will be used to help someone. If a person gave one nickel each day, at the end of 364 days the amount of $182 dollars will have been given to help someone. Every little thing will add up. Who knows, one day you yourself might find yourself on the other end of someone’s giving. Please if you are able, help out someone. If not during the ‘Holiday’ season, then at some other time of the year.
