Just another person with thoughts

Not Here

Welcome back!

I just read an article that points out the difference between our country and another. We are both on the same side of the planet, but miles apart when it comes to what is going on.

Here in the USA, we worry about gas prices, food costs, rent, transportation, etc. In this other country they worry about living, surviving. There are things happening around the world that Americans are ignorant about. We have no idea what tragedies are happening, and how many are dying. The other places would appreciate the types of worries that we have. They would probably rather have our worries, than the ones they do have. I for one do appreciate the possibilities that we have. We can walk down the street and rarely need to worry about any gun shots, bombs, kidnappings, torture, horrible deaths. It leaves me cold inside to read about some of the things that are apparently normal for others. We in this country are blessed for such minor worries.
