Tangles = Snacks

Welcome back!

Here I go again. This is another experiment that worked out very well. I have had to quit fixing them however as my husband and I are diabetic. When you see the recipe, you will probably understand. These would be good for a party if made small and served on a tray.

Tangles

2 cups all purpose Flour
3/4 cup Sugar
1/2 tsp Salt
1 tsp Baking powder
mix together all of the dry ingredients
1 tsp Almond extract or other favorite flavoring
3 eggs
1/2 cup Water
beat together until blended
Add the dry and wet ingredients together and mix thoroughly. The batter should be like thin pancake batter.
Use frying pan, heat your choice of oil, drizzle batter into the heated oil moving in circles until the tangle is the size you desire. When light brown, turn over carefully (the oil is hot). Remove when done.
Drain on paper towel, then sprinkle with powdered sugar. Serve

    Thanks for sharing the recipe. They’re called Funnel Cakes, or Johnny Cakes where I’m from. I’ve never heard them called “Tangles” before.
