A Good Day
Welcome back!
Yesterday my husband and I had a wonderful day. Our neighbors had a barbecue and invited us and a couple of our other neighbors over at the same time. They had family members who were there and it was wonderful.
There was singing, guitar playing, laughter, lots of talking, and lots of good food. Some of us spoke English, others of us spoke Spanish, and some spoke both. That didn’t matter at all for the togetherness we all had was great.
I learned that the mother of our neighbor had worked in the fields gathering cotton with others and remembered wagons being used for people to travel. In this age of cars, she remembered wagons. Wow. That gives a whole new perspective to the idea of traveling. I am so glad that we were invited.
