The main problem is that people often do NOT believe in evacuations. Although after Katrina, you’d think that some would have learned. When these big storms come to land, they bring a lot of destruction. Not all of the destruction is caused by just water or wind. Of course water and wind helped to create the Grand Canyon. OOPS

Water is needed by every living thing on the face of this planet. Water in one form or another. Hurricanes however, are not beneficial by any type of imagination. One thing that can occur is the activation of tornadoes on the outskirts of the hurricane. Tornadoes have been well advertised in their destructive power. What is generally not know is that tornadoes interfere with the workings of cell phones. If you have only a cell phone for communication, tornadoes will not let them work. I know from experience. Where I live we have had tornadoes pass through, our cell phone stopped receiving - completely.
