Fungus?
Welcome back!
Just read an article in a science blog that makes me want to shudder. Do you remember Chernobyl? The Russian (or Soviet) reactor that blew it’s top? Well everything is not dead there.
Something has actually THRIVED in that poisonous atmosphere. Fungus is growing and thriving there. Every time someone talks about after a nuclear holocaust, how everything will be dead except for the roaches. Well, I guess that they will have lots of fungus to eat. How do you kill something that survives intense radiation when you can’t? YUK I know that that is not a scientific term, I do not care, YUK. The only way that i like my fungus is to be sauteed, or deep fried with ranch dressing on the side. Of course I’m talking about mushrooms in this instance.
