Politics As Usual
Welcome back!
Yes, I said politics as usual. One of the current presidential candidates has based his campaign on the premise of ‘change you can believe in’, yet when you check out his voting record (what there is of it), and what he is saying now….he sounds like a politician. Well, duh.
An article on Fox News.com by Radley Balko has a bunch of questions which would have very interesting answers, if there are any that is. I wish more people would ask the question that apply to every person running for office. Especially if they are not allowed to side step the questions themselves. That is something that politicians are famous for doing.
Some changes would be nice, like…honesty, honor, truthfulness, accountability, and of course the all infamous intentions part. Advertising has, in the past, gotten in trouble for not being truthful in its advertising practices (who says they are honest now?). We have had many people in office who lie for their own convenience, commit crimes and don’t get punished, use the office for profit and gain (not the public’s gain of course), and in general have made the rest of us skeptical about their promises. When will we, the public, get the basic facts that are needed? It would be nice to know.
